Inside of Star Girl's house:  Glossy bentwood furniture, throw rugs over hard wood floors, Southwest accents, an Anasazi wedding vase, and a Georgia O'Keefe  print.   Nothing of the unusual.  But considering the fact that Star Girl is nothing like the usual, you would expect her parents and her house to be out of the ordinary too,  but in fact there in nothing of that sort.  The outside of her house is not an interesting shape or color.  It is like every house you will see for one hundred miles.

The desert: A brown wasteland of dry prickly scrub.  The desert is where Leo and Star Girl sit by them selves and do nothing but sit and live free.  They relax of the dry hot sand that fills the area.  The dunes set the two in their enchanted environment.  the open brow/ yellow land lets the two sink in the sand and be free in another world.  The small grains sink in between their hands and feet. They let the enchantfulness sweep them away and take them to a place like no other.
